Let’s talk about skin, baby!

With the new year approaching, I made a vow to care for myself a lot more than what I’ve been doing the past several years. And it’s never too late for a fresh start!

I’ve always had issues with my skin throughout my life, and never took the time to evaluate the necessary care that my skin needed. I’ve also never had the greatest diet coming up…usually resulting to junk and fast food for most of my meals. While living on my own without the help or influence of friends or family, I realized that I needed to get serious about my health. It is so important to take the time to care about what products you’re putting on the inside and outside of your body.

With the new year approaching, I made a vow to care for myself a lot more than what I’ve been doing the past several years. And it’s never too late for a fresh start!

If you’re in the same boat as me and are looking to change or improve your skin care routine, I encourage you to do your research, experiment with safe products and consult with a skin care professional to create a skin care routine that works best for you!

The items above are just a few things I recently picked up at my local Dollar Tree! I truly believe that a good skin care regimen does not have to be expensive! There are some true gems at very cheap and affordable stores that could substitute other well known brands for their overpriced items.

My current skin care routine is far from perfect. I’ve got a lot of healing to do when it comes to the damage I’ve put my skin through for all those past years. But it is a journey that I am willing to go through to better my skin’s health and my physical health overall.

I decided to film a video of the new skin care routine that I created for myself and to help keep track of my skin health progress. It is definitely not perfect, nor is it a great routine. But it is a routine that I feel will be best for my skin and to experiment with what makes my skin feel happier the most.

Check out the video and let me know what you think!
